Aloha For People
Aloha for People creates new ways to provide clean water and jobs to people in need by making aloha shirts and other surf-related products in California using fabric hand-woven in Guatemala. With every product sold, Aloha for People provides clean water access to a child in need for 2 years.
Aloha for People was founded in Hermosa Beach, CA by three native Californians who had a strong desire to sell radical aloha shirts that would help people in need. Instead of focusing on aloha shirts that only represented palm trees or flowers, their goal was to make shirts that truly represented the culture and heritage of a group of people. Guatemala was chosen as the first partner country because of their rich Mayan heritage with unique textile patterns and because they have a catastrophic water problem in the country.
Aloha for People started with aloha shirts and has since expanded into men’s tees, women’s tanks, surf fins, and surfboard bags. All of their products are made in the USA using Guatemalan fabric. Every product sold helps provide a child in Guatemala with access to clean water for 2 years.
