Alchemy Goods is dedicated to making bags and accessories that are incredibly durable and come from repurposed materials like bicycle inner tubes and advertising banners.
The story of Alchemy Goods began when founder, Eli Reich, had his messenger bag stolen from him. Instead of purchasing another bag he decided to create one himself using leftover bicycle inner tubes he had left around the house. From there the first Alchemy Goods bag was born. After many compliments on his design and requests to have more bags like his own made, Eli started Alchemy Goods. Since that original messenger bag, Alchemy Goods has developed a wide array of upcycled bags and accessories for the urban lifestyle.
Alchemy Goods is now headquartered in Boulder, CO and manufacturing in Seattle, WA. Their bags and accessories are made by using a process called upcycling. Their team constructs as much of their products out of old or used materials like bike tubes, truck tire tubes, and even advertising banner vinyl to create their backpacks, messenger bags, purses, and dopp kits, to name a few. All of their products are manufactured in the USA and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
Alchemy Goods was acquired by a Boulder, CO-based company called Eco Brands Group in 2016. They also manufacture Green Guru. Instead of moving 100% of the operations to Boulder, Eco Brands Group kept manufacturing in Seattle, but moved accounting, fulfillment, and marketing to Boulder.
Currently, Alchemy Goods sells its products in their online store as well as to hundreds of boutique shops spread out across the USA and the world. They also do corporate custom projects for sustainable focused companies and organizations looking to turn their old advertising and marketing materials into custom bags and accessories for their employees, clients, or customers.
