What’s your story? When you grow up as a nomad, you’ll always be a nomad. Born in Macau with a Portuguese passport, Carson grew up in the UK where he spent weekends exploring the fields and forests as a teenager, then post-university, working in the heart of London in a high-pressure commerce gig. City life and Carson didn't exactly gel so he packed up, bought a plane ticket, and winged it on a journey to rekindle his love for the outdoors. From hiking to the top of Indonesia’s second-highest volcano to trekking around some of the world’s highest peaks in Nepal, nature’s spark was soon reignited and the flame grew stronger as more trails were explored and oceans adored. When you grow up as a nomad, you’ll always be a nomad. Born in Macau with a Portuguese passport, Carson grew up in the UK where he spent weekends exploring the fields and forests as a teenager, then post-university, working in the heart of London in a high-pressure commerce gig. City life and Carson didn’t exactly gel so he packed up, bought a plane ticket, and winged it on a journey to rekindle his love for the outdoors. From hiking to the top of Indonesia’s second-highest volcano to trekking around some of the world’s highest peaks in Nepal, nature’s spark was soon reignited and the flame grew stronger as more trails were explored and oceans adored.

But in experiencing all the beauty there was also a touch of pain. Pollution, waste, and environmental decimation existed universally in some form wherever he hiked, climbed, surfed, or just simply passed through. On his travels, he learned that the clothing industry was a key player in this negative impact being the second largest pollutant globally. This was the light bulb moment. A chance to move the needle for the good of the planet through ethically produced outdoor gear.

Carson set up a base camp in Hong Kong learning intently about fashion textiles to make sure every production, form, and function decision was the most sustainable and ethically viable one possible. He injected his own spin on the brand realizing there was market space to fuse practical style through sustainable solutions ultimately leading to the birth of Seadon – meaning, from the land to the sea. Everything Seadon does is based on his ethos to keep it sustainable from the land to the sea. No shortcuts. No compromise. This is a journey driven by passion and created to stand the test of time alongside a muse who must always remain respected, Mother Nature.

What’s your “why”?

Wherever the trail leads and whatever elements you face, our gear is designed to get you there and back in purpose-built comfort. We’re also firm believers that your values should align with your actions which is why we choose to tread lightly when crafting our products. Share our journey to explore, leave it untouched like before. pursue your passion | follow your true north | respect your destination

How did you get funding?

We started our first Kickstarter campaign in 2019, where our main source of funding came from. Our last campaign allowed us to transition into our own online store, along with other business opportunities that allowed us to grow sustainably while staying in line with our brand’s mission.

What’s your flagship product?

We are an outdoor clothing brand but our products are designed for wherever the trail leads. We make versatile products for people who enjoy being outside and respect nature.

What makes us different is our range of unique fabrics that are both functional and super comfortable to wear. Our clothing makes you feel something special that you immediately notice once you feel our fabrics.

Why does sustainability matter?

We believe sustainability and ethical practices should not be classed as something extra that brands should implement. They should come naturally because it is the right thing to do. For us, it is about the future of the human race, and how we define ourselves.

Do you contribute to your local community?

We are 1% for the Planet member.
We are Climate Neutral Certified
We are planning to be Plastic Neutral Certified by 2023.
